Russell Huiskamp (b. 1987) is a multidisciplinary artist and composer. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he studied at New York University, where he was awarded the Hannah Van Vollenhollen Memorial Prize in Music. He then continued his education and received a Master of Music from New York University, where he was awarded the Carole Bayer Sager Scholarship for Songwriting. He has written multiple scores for films, documentaries and theater productions; he also sings, produces and releases music under the artist name Amusium.

As a painter, he draws inspiration from both his background as a musician and his lifelong love of videogames and animation. In his pieces, he aims to translate a primarily digital immersive experience into an analog one, distilling and reducing an aesthetic to its elements and ultimately reexpanding it to canvas, rife with references and hallmarks of the original medium.

He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with his husband and two daughters, Penelope and Jean.
